The University of Queensland (UQ), established in 1909, is the first comprehensive university in Queensland. With approximately 40,500 students, it is one of the six Sandstone universities, a member of the Group of Eight (Go8), and part of the Universitas 21 network. The university comprises six faculties across four campuses, housing 29 schools, and is one of Australia’s oldest and largest institutions of higher education.

In the 2025 QS World University Rankings, UQ is ranked 40th. UQ Business School is the first university business school in Australia to receive AACSB accreditation. It is also EQUIP-accredited and has been awarded a 5-star rating by the Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA).
