Program Background:

With the approval of the Ministry of Education, Guangdong University of Technology and Vellore University of Technology in India jointly hold the undergraduate education program of animation major in order to adapt to the international development of education and cultivate application-oriented innovative talents with international vision, complex skills and solid professional foundation.

This program is committed to cultivating animation professionals with international perspectives and innovation consciousness by introducing foreign high-quality education resources. The students are expected to have a good command of Chinese and English, be familiar with the operation and management of animation industry at home and abroad, and be proficient in animation creation and production, game design and programming, website design and other related animation skills.

2. English-medium core courses

The curriculum plan is jointly developed by Guangdong University of Technology and Vellore University of Technology and carried out by high-level teachers from both sides. About 80% of the professional core courses are conducted and assessed in English by excellent teachers from Vellore University of Technology. The principal courses include Image Editing Techniques, Animation Mathematics, Programming Principles, Animation Principles, Two-dimensional Animation, Website Design Skills, 3D Animation, Script Creation, Modeling and Texture, Animation Assembly, Lighting and Rendering, Video Editing Skills, Animation Modeling, Physical Game Design, Animation Interaction Skills, Digital Photography, Visual Effects, Art Foundation, l Level Design, and Advanced Synthesis and Dynamics.

Education and Degree

Duration of the program is 4 years. While studying specialized courses in Guangdong University of Technology, students can apply for exchange study in Vellore University of Technology in India for one semester (the specific time will be arranged by the university). Those who obtain the required credits within the permitted period of study and meet the requirements for graduation and degree awarding after examination and verification by Guangdong University of Technology will be awarded the diploma and bachelor's degree certificate of Guangdong University of Technology. The bachelor's degree certificate of Vellore University of Technology will be issued to those who meet the requirements of graduation and degree awarding after the examination and approval of Vellore University of Technology ( the Indian side requires one semester of exchange study ).

Tuition:

The tuition fee is 28000 RMB per academic year. In case of any change in the charging standards, the latest approval of Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission shall prevail.

Students do not need to pay extra tuition fees for exchange study in Vellore University of Technology, but other expenses shall be paid by themselves.
